Having read all the articles on the Myspace Music revolution ... I am less than convinced Mr Murdoch's team has any idea of what they are doing ...

Let's get to the facts ...

Facebook has more than 58% of all Social Media traffic or as I call it, Interactive Database traffic ... and it's growing just like any business owner would want it to.

Twitter has less than 2% and falling ... that doesn't accurately reflect Twitter's real growth but percentage decline ...

Myspace is dying at a rapid rate of knots ...

WHY ...

Let's go back to E-Bay ...

E-bay showed you how you could make money using it's system ...so we all signed up and used E-bay ...

Facebook allows us to find and create customers, it allows charities to raise funds, as well as allowing friends to communicate and meet each other ...

Twitter helps us grow our business, LinkedIN helps us grow our business ...

The benefits here are why companies hire people to sit all day and work on Facebook, Twitter and so on ...

As for MySpace ... if they could find a way to help business people make money, then I tell you, MySpace would have it's fortunes turn around pretty dang quick ...

Think of it this way ... business is the engine room of your customers, no-one will spend as much money with Myspace and business people, now maybe the music industry is a good place to do that, but going after iTunes, Rhapsody, Zune and other music sites and systems that are firmly ingrained would be like saying I want to beat uTube when they already have such a massive lead ...

Something new MySpace, something new ...

OK, so I've now seen just one too many companies BURN UP their advertising money ...

Let's be clear, advertising has only one job, to get SALES, money in the bank, thus MARKETING is MATH ...

Good sales and profits from an advert, good advert ... the whole winning awards with your advert rubbish is exactly that, rubbish. Awards only count if they are for sales. Yes you want a brand image, but not at the expense of sales ...

So, #1 on your list is the target audience. ask yourself these two questions ... WHO specifically is my target audience for this marketing campaign? And you better be specific, it could even be a single company or person ... Then ask, WHERE will I find them in the highest concentration? Rarely is that reading a newspaper, it's usually on a database, online, as members of a club, as clients of another company and so on.

Then #2 is the offer you make to them, you have to test several offers, NOT just pick one that's easy for you. Ask yourself these two questions again. WHAT do they want to buy or achieve through my product or service? Too many companies focus on the product or service not the end result. Then, WHY do they want or need my product or service. Here, you're looking for benefits to them, real benefits, come up with at least 7 great ones ...

Finally #3 the Copy - ask yourself, HOW can I best get my message to them? Could be a letter, an event, a call, an email a website a personal visit, a package or maybe an advert ...

All the Best ... Brad Sugars

Would a 3 minute video each day, every few days, once a week or never be the best moving forward ...

You see sometimes instead of typing an article for my BLOG I think a video recorded right here on my laptop would be not only easier but better? We need your thoughts as the readers/watchers of my BLOG, which would you prefer, Brad Sugars on Business Video and how often?

Thanks

Brad

PS. When we know the results, I'd also like any topics you want to learn more about either by video or by written word.

You know that the Internet is an amazing tool, it's allowed us to do life and business in an entirely new way, it's made many aspects of life so much easier ...

There are so many great points, BUT ... and it's a big but ...

Unlike other forms of media, there are no journalistic controls, no ethics and totally anonymous posts that can be totally fraudulent, totally defamatory and also just plain downright disgraceful ...

From personal experience, I have had things posted about my family, about me privately, even my home address and phone number, people called me a fraud, a conman, a ripoff guy and so much more ... ALL ANONYMOUSLY and I cannot get it taken down ...

If you think it gets me mad, it used to ... not anymore ... because while it seems you cannot fight back, you can ...

Here's what do you do if you are attacked on the Internet ... ?

5 things that are vital ...

1. Answer EVERY allegation with total transparency but only do it on a site that YOU CONTROL ... never answer on their site, put a link from their site to a site you control ...

2. Give your good customers, team members and clients a place to speak up, a place to be heard and seen, allow them to post their own replies ... get the positive voices out there ... hope you can comment here and do just that ...

3. Make sure you control the search and domain of your name, build strength in your site and many other sites with your name in them, for example, I have not just www.bradsugars.com, but also www.aboutbradsugars.com, www.askbradsugars.com and www.actionspeakslouderthanwords.com ...

4. Make sure you are linked to from as many other sites as possible ... get other people writing about you and talking about you and linking to your sites ...

5. Blog, Facebook, Tweet, LinkedIN and get yourself out there and let people know who you really are ...

If you are one of my coaches, franchisees or clients, or one of the entrepreneurs I have trained, or a reader of my books, let people know the truth about ActionCOACH ...

Have a great day ... Brad Sugars
